Charlotte Carter's summer didn't turn out like anything she had planned, but sometimes life throws you a curveball, or should I say a tandem bike?
Just as school is wrapping up for summer vacation, Charlotte finds out her dream job teaching music in her hometown is going to end due to funding cuts. If that weren't enough, her ex-fiancé Ben's wedding is this weekend.
Determined to stay away from the wedding hoopla and to find a way to raise enough money to keep the music program afloat, she hilariously finds herself IN the wedding party along with Ben's brother, Zach. This prompts both their families to think they are an item.
In the meantime, her sister hears about an eccentric man who is giving a $250,000 prize to a couple who can ride a tandem bike 500 miles in 10 days. Without telling Charlotte, she writes such a convincing letter entering Charlotte and Zach's names into the contest that they win! Can Charlotte actually ride 500 miles? With a guy who drives her nuts? Can Zach pass up the chance to earn enough to get back on his feet?
