I Think I Was Murdered | Colleen Coble & Rick Acker

I Think I Was Murdered

What would you do if a loved one who passed away somehow managed to tell you "I think I was murdered" from the grave? Well, that's exactly what happened to Katrina Foster a year after her husband unexpectedly passed away.

I will say that, when I read the back of this book, I was a little skeptical about it. A woman using AI to talk to her dead husband?! My first thought was that the idea was a little strange and I wasn't sure I was going to like it. I'm glad to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Colleen Coble and Rick Acker did a beautiful job weaving this story together and it was unlike any other book I've read recently. They are embracing the technological changes that the world is facing and including it in their stories in a very well thought out way.

Karina is a lawyer for a big AI tech company that's under instigation because their CEO was indicted. On top of that, her beloved grandmother passed away. With no job, she heads back to her hometown to get back on her feet. Due to an unexpected surprise, she ends up staying longer than expected, gets told by an AI chat bot that her dead husband thinks he was murdered, and ends up dangerously chasing the truth with someone she hurt in the past.
