What We Hide | Colleen Coble & Rick Acker

What We Hide

I swallowed this book in less than a week! Coble and Acker make a great writing duo. Acker brings his sharp legal insight and ability to craft compelling plots, while Coble adds depth to the story and its characters.

Savannah Webster has been through a hurricane of events over the last two years, and it seems like the challenges just keep coming. It all starts when her husband—whom she hasn’t seen in two years—waltzes back into her life, and not long after, she discovers a body. She has tough decisions to make, past scars to heal, and plenty of family matters to navigate, not to mention fighting to get the right killer behind bars and unraveling the mysteries unfolding at the university where she works.

The authors do a great job keeping you on your toes and guessing. Just when you think they’re going to wrap the story up with a neat bow, a twist sends the adventure in a new direction. Throughout the story, you uncover new layers of the characters as it’s told from multiple perspectives. And let’s just say I never saw the ending coming. Whether that’s because I’d make a terrible detective or the authors did too good of a job… you’ll have to read it to find out.
